DAY 20: PERFECT 10 FOR ACES
Well done to Malcolm Acres who is our manager of the day with two correct scores and a perfect 10 points. 41st overall (up 27), 29 points is surely too much for Malcolm to dream of challenging the overall leaders, but today’s performance rockets Aces up 65 places to 17th in the Knockout Stage League, only 6 points from top spot.

Stephen Tait managed to score -4 points today and drops from 1st to 5th. Barbara Willingham goes top despite scoring zero. Richard Hancy is up to 2nd, 6 points see Tony Moore climb 17 to 3rd while 8 points see Jim Hodge climb a massive 30 places to 4th.

KOLO HANGING ON
Two boring 1-1 predictions today earned nothing for our leaders but Jonathan Liu remains top. 2nd and 3rd managed only 2 points each and it’s allowed the chasing pack to put the squeeze on. 4th placed Peter Willingham is 3 points nearer the top, but slips to 5th. Karen Hutchison’s perfect evening score moves her up to 5th. Moira Escreet returned to form and the top 10 - the top scorers in the top 66 with 7 points. Go Marvels!!

BRAZIL 1 BELGIUM 2
Well done to 7 managers who got this one spot-on. They included the teams in 5th, 6th and 7th overall who collected 5 points each while the top three scored nothing, and 4th scored -2.

FRANCE 1 URUGUAY 0
Well 40 (of 62 predictors) predicted the France win, though most thought it would be a single goal margin. Just five correctly guessed 2-0 for the 5 points, with four more scoring 3 for the correct margin. No points for our overall leaders... 2 each for 2nd, 3rd and 5th moving them closer to top spot. David White was the highest placed manager to score 5 and David climbs five places to 9th.

Barbara Willingham went for the draw but she nevertheless takes over at the top of the Knockout Stage League, with Stephen Tait going for Uruguay and losing 2 points.
